A- Simple Present or Present Progressive:


Look! Sara is going to the movies.

On her right hand, Sara is carrying her handbag.

Betty always goes to school on foot.

The handbag is very beautiful.

Sara usually puts on black shoes, but now she is wearing white trainers.

My favorite football team is the Moroccan national team.


B- Simple Past or Past Perfect:


When he woke up, his mother had already prepared breakfast.

We went to London because our friends had invited us.

He heard the news, went to the telephone, and called a friend.

When she started learning English, she had already learned French.

My sister ate all the chocolate before my parents came home.

She opened the box after she found the key.


C- Simple Past or Present Perfect:


I have just finished my homework.

Mary has already written five letters.

Tom moved to his hometown in 1994.

My friend was in Canada two years ago.

I have lost my keys - can you help me look for them?

I missed the bus, and then I missed the plane as well!


D- Simple Past or Past Progressive:


The students were playing cards when the teacher came in.

While the children were sleeping, their parents were watching TV.

When I opened the door, it was raining.

It started raining while she was watering the flowers in her garden.

Martha turned off the light and went to bed.

We were playing tennis when John hurt his ankle.


E- Simple Future or Future Perfect:


Tomorrow I think I will start my new project.

I will finish it by the end of this month.

He will have corrected it by the end of next week.

I think I will start my trip tomorrow.

Next year, I will come to see you if I have some time off.

By next month, I will have visited many nice places in Morocco.
